IT spart Zeit und Geld

Der britische Inquirer berichtet im Artikel Useless PC users cost business billions, dass eine von Samsung Electronics beauftragte Studie unter 2000 Büromitarbeitern ergab, dass eine Mehrzahl der IT-Nutzer ihrer Zeit mit der Lösung von Computerproblemen und der nutzlosen Suche nach Dateien verbringen:

81 per cent spend an hour searching for documents

44 per cent make e-documents that already exist

87 per cent try and fix printer jams without talking to inhouse IT wizards

86 per cent wait for 10 minutes for their PCs to start

24 per cent said that printers are the biggest problem, 21 per cent said PCs are, and 20 per cent try and fix photocopiers

Dies koste die Wirtschaft geschätzte 1,7 Milliarden Pfund. Natürlich vertrete Samsung die These, dass ihre Produkte diese Probleme reduzieren würden. [Deutsche Version des Artikels hier]
